The Presidential Search Committee convened on October 12, 2016 to review the 60 candidates in our applicant pool. Our candidates represent 28 states and offer a rich array of experience in higher education and industry, with 45 holding doctoral degrees. Prior to this meeting, members of the search committee worked arduously on their own studying candidate materials. The focus of our meeting was to identify those candidates most qualified for the position. All committee members were actively involved in this process. I am pleased to share that our deliberations were fluid, respectful, thoughtful, and very productive.
On behalf of the Search Committee, I will continue to keep the campus community informed as we narrow the field of qualified applicants in search of our 23rd President.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
